While scanning the interweb for goat porn and explosives recipes I stumbled across a job posting for a "Senior Programmer Analyst". The qualifications for this much vaunted position were in part "7 years programming/analysis experience or B.S. plus 3 years experience or a Master's plus 1 year experience". I have a hard time buying that 4 years of College level Computer Science is the equivalent of 4 years of work experience. While I went the college route, and I value the lessons and the opportunities it afforded me, my university education only set the stage for my development since.
